The Songwriter Music College (TSMC) is an institution for songwriting and producing music education. It is a collaboration between FM Pop Music School and mm2 Entertainment.

The aim of TSMC is to cultivate and develop talents and provide them with the platform and opportunities to showcase their work and capabilities for the growing industry. TSMC offers diploma courses that are infused with academic approaches and understanding the industry demands, with an in-depth focus on elements of songwriting, music production and performance.

FM Pop Music School is formed as an advocacy training arm; with the mission of inspiring individuals to pursue their interest in music with gusto and purpose to produce consistent, credible and popular compositions in music and lyrics. FM Pop Music School is led by music veterans in the Asian music industry, Eric Ng and Xiaohan.

FM Pop Music School nurtures and discovers promising young talents in the region, while continually expanding musicians’ regional outreach through music publishing and music production. Besides imparting technical knowledge in songwriting, performance and production skills, they train and educate a new generation in music knowledge based on their trainers’ real life experience.

mm2 Entertainment

mm2 Entertainment (a wholly owned subsidiary of mm2 Asia Ltd) is Singapore’s leading media entertainment and content company with regional offices in Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing and the United States.

Soon after mm2 Entertainment listing on SGX-ST Catalist board in Singapore in December 2014, mm2 Entertainment acquired a majority stake in Vividthree Productions, a local post-production company specialising in 3D animation, Visual Effects (VFX) and Computer-Generated Imagery (CGI). This was followed by the acquisition of a majority stake in another local company – UnUsUaL Group of Companies, an event production and concert promotion company.

In 2015, the Group entered the film exhibition scene with the acquisition of Cathay Cineplexes Malaysia and Mega Cinemas. In September 2016, thirteen Lotus Fivestar cinemas were added to the Group’s cinema operation, making the Group the 4th largest cinema operator in Malaysia. Following the acquisition of Cathay Cineplexes in Singapore in November 2017, the Group is presently the only exhibitor operating cinemas in both Singapore and Malaysia, with a total of 206 screens across 27 locations.

In 2017, mm2 Asia Ltd became the first local film production company to be listed on SGX-ST Mainboard.

mm2 Entertainment continues to produce content for a multitude of platforms: movies, TV and web series, telemovies, commercial short films and formats, and offers comprehensive film-making services, ranging from the inception of an idea, to financing, sponsorship, production, marketing and distribution.
